🎙 Stress & Anxiety for Athletes – Saarim Aslam
What happens when the thing that is supposed to be your stress relief (exercise) causes you more stress? Are stress and anxiety the same? Do we really need to quiet that little voice in the back of our head that never shuts up? I chatted with Oxford researcher and psychologist (and swimmer!) Saarim Aslam to get to the bottom of stress and anxiety—for athletes.
⏰ Training Outside of a Standard 9 to 5 Schedule
Night shift? Few days on, few days off? Baker with early hours? Working retail so weekends are your busiest days? Parent with more weekend commitments than weekday ones? Not everyone lives on a M-F 9 to 5 with weekends for long rides and runs, but training plans are often built that way.
