A couple weeks ago, we talked on the podcast about when and how to lean into discomfort in workouts, and why that's important. Then, last weekend, I had a chance to test our theories IRL as my long run took a turn for the uncomfortable starting with torrential downpours followed by a cramping stomach and flat legs. Lucky for me, it's hard to quit when you've literally just posted about how important it is to embrace moments like this—and I know I'll face something similar in a race someday!
