HOW'S YOUR SUPPORT CREW?
Hello, hello!
As we get into the summer months and lots of us are starting to go on longer outdoor adventures while the weather is good, it's a good time to check in on your support crew. This means not only your team or club, but your family, friends, and even your boss at work (which, if you work for yourself does mean you!). Are you feeling like you have a lot of support around you?
Note: Support can look a lot of different ways. This doesn't mean that a spouse should be catering to your every need, but it does mean having a partner who has a general idea about your training + racing goals and plans and is OK with them! Or, with the work example, in our podcast with Keely Shaw earlier this month, we talked about the idea of asking for what you need at work, like a slightly extended lunch break to finish your training run. You'd be surprised at how much support you can get if you simply ask for it.
