SERIOUSLY, DO YOUR WARMUPS—AND MAKE THEM LONG
Hello, hello!
Warmups. Let's be honest, they're kind of the worst. If you're time crunched, they feel frustrating: Why can't you just get into it and get done with your workout? But we need them. They get us ready to do the work, make us better at doing the work, and actually add more minutes to our workouts, which—whether endurance or fat-burning is the goal—is a benefit. And if you have goals in racing, guess what? Race day, you're gonna need to do a warm up... so shouldn't you know how to do one and be used to it? (We're pretty keen on workouts over here at Consummate Athlete HQ.)
Check out the whole article here, with some intel on what a warmup should look like and how to sneak in a few extra minutes: Why Warming Up (More) Will Make You Faster
As always, thanks for being part of our crew—hope you have an active, healthy week!!
