Shred Girls Virtual Launch Party on July 21!
SHRED GIRLS HANGOUTS
Hey Shred Girls—
With the launch of Shred Girls: Ali's Rocky Ride happening in just a couple of days, I wanted to share the full schedule for the virtual launch party happening this Tuesday, July 21, from 3 to 6PM EST and introduce you to some of the awesome IRL Shred Girls who are jumping online to join the Q&A to talk riding advice, best tips and what they've learned on the bike!
Do me a huge favor and if you're going to drop in for any of the fun, RSVP on Facebook here!
Why a virtual launch party? I was super bummed because I wouldn't be able to have an in real life launch party like we did with Lindsay's Joyride last May (or even have physical copies of the book) because of COVID19. But I want to make lemons out of lemonade, and I realized that while I can't have an IRL party, I can have a virtual one that allows me to connect with girls from all over the world.
So, on Tuesday, July 21, the day Ali's Rocky Ride is released, from 3 to 6PM, I'm going to host a Shred Girls launch party on Zoom, Facebook Live and (partially) on Instagram Live.
Here's the full schedule:
3PM - Reading from Ali's Rocky Ride + Q&A with author Molly Hurford on Zoom, Facebook Live and the @Shred.Girls Instagram Live (THIS IS THE ZOOM LINK!—if you want to be able to ask questions, make sure you’re watching on Zoom, otherwise, you can just hop onto the Shred Girls page on Facebook and tune in!!)
4PM -Yoga session with Molly on Zoom, Facebook Live and the @Shred.Girls Instagram Live
4:30-6PM - Q&As with several Shred Girls IRL ONLY ON ZOOM AND FACEBOOK LIVE, including mountain bikers Kira Zazzi, Carys Reid, Mackenzie Myatt, Zelda Walsh, and Anneke Winegarden
Plus we'll give out some prizes (like these patches) throughout, so make sure you're tuned in!
ABOUT ALI'S ROCKY RIDE: In the follow-up to LINDSAY’S JOYRIDE, the Shred Girls reunite at Ali’s home for a mountain-biking training trip that builds up to an elite competition! Even though Ali grew up on the mountain biking with her professional-biker older brothers, she’s anxious. Her brothers always make her feel like she’s not talented enough. Could they be right? She’ll just have to find out.
GET IT HERE (and share with a friend!)
Again, Do me a huge favor and if you're going to drop in for any of the fun, RSVP on Facebook here!
XO,
Molly (and Lindsay, Ali and Jen!)
PS: You can help get more girls excited about riding by helping boost Shred Girls' rankings on Amazon— leave a Shred Girls review on Amazon! (And yes, you can review even if you didn't buy on there.)
LISTEN TO THE LATEST SHRED GIRLS SHORT STORY
I had a lot of fun writing Jen's Challenge, a Shred Girls short story that will hopefully give you some good tips for handling riding solo (and potentially still training inside) right now AND also just be something fun to read. You can listen to the entire story read by me right here, and ICYMI: Click here to download the PDF of Jen's Challenge!
