THE OUTDOOR EDIT NEWSLETTER
Hellooooooo!
It's funny, in some ways, I've never felt closer to my communities, despite not being able to interact in person with anyone right now. I'm FaceTiming with my family, having virtual coffee (and wine) with friends, and doing a ton of video conferencing for work, including teaching some virtual yoga for cyclists. It's honestly one of the most social times in my life that I can remember, despite not seeing people IRL. Anyone else feeling that?
It's pretty amazing the amount of information and connection we have at our fingertips, so I think it's worth putting out the reminder that it's OK to put your phone down, to set it on airplane mode for a few hours, to not have that third virtual meetup for the day, and to just actually, honestly disconnect.
Stay safe,
Molly
PS: We'll be recording some new Q&A episodes of The Consummate Athlete Podcast this week, so feel free to respond to this with any training, racing and nutrition questions!
#STAYHOME AND STAY HEALTHY—IN SO MANY MEANINGS OF THE WORD
We've been in self-isolation for two weeks now after making our way home from Spain and I'm pleased to say that I have managed to not have any major blow-up fights while sharing 1000 square feet (and an office) with Peter. Granted, working from home is business as usual for us, but not being able to run errands or just get outside has been tough. I've written a couple of pieces at this point about living in a state of quarantine, so if you're home and trying to stay as healthy as possible, check them out for some tips and tricks that I've figured out over the years / what I'm doing now:
