THE OUTDOOR EDIT NEWSLETTER
Hellooooooo!
I hope everyone is having a good February—I know this month can be really tough to stay in healthy routines and habits, and frankly, the weather starts to get most people a little down around now as winter starts to fade but it's still cold and dreary out. But keep going—you've got this! (Or if you don't feel like you have it currently, don't worry—it's also OK to be in a quiet, cozy month of letting yourself just recover and re-motivate.)
Quick reminder for those in the Toronto area: Mark your calendars for April 18! I'm hosting the How To Be Outside Speaker Series and it's going to be an amazing night, hearing from 13 rad speakers. Speakers range from professional athletes to local outdoor enthusiasts who’ve started movements of their own to advocates who work on a broader scale to improve awareness around topics like climate change and the power of pedaling. The evening promises to be a total blast so make sure to get your tickets ASAP (and share with a friend!)
XO,
Molly
TAKE 30 SECONDS TO CHANGE YOUR DAY
I've been a little hectic at a camp the last couple of weeks and it's made me realize something important: the easier I make my morning, the more likely I am to do my core and yoga and have my healthy breakfast when the day gets a little out of control. Enter:The 30-Second Before Bed Habit That Makes Tomorrow Healthier. What can you do tonight to help yourself tomorrow morning?
SPONSORSHIP + ORGANIZATION
I've been on a few podcasts talking about my new book, The Athlete's Guide to Sponsorship, most recently, Sonya Looney's awesome podcast! Highly recommend giving it a listen and checking out her podcast archive, she has tons of great shows! And even if you're not into getting sponsored as an athlete, check out the book's website where I'm posting some articles to go with the book—most recently, one on apps I use to keep my work/finances/calendar/social stuff organized.
COOK SMARTER, NOT HARDER
On the road the last month, I realized that a kitchen doesn't need to have tons of fancy appliances, but there are a few things that make life A LOT easier when it comes to fast healthy eating. Check out this article if you're setting up a kitchen for the first time, or just trying to make your current setup more conducive to healthy eating: 6 Kitchen Tools That Make It Easier to Eat Smart
