SHRED GIRLS HANGOUTS
Hey Shred Girls—
I can't believe there's only a few weeks left until Shred Girls: Lindsay's Joyride is released. I'm not going to lie, I'm freaking out a little! I'm super stoked to see how you all like reading Lindsay's story, and I can't wait to meet some of you (and see some of you again!) at the launch parties we're planning around the book's release.
I'd love to hear from you: What got you into cycling, and what makes you feel the most boss on the bike? Let us know by responding to this email or tagging us on Instagram or Facebook (@shred.girls)!
Last thing: Have you pre-ordered Shred Girls: Lindsay's Joyride yet? If you do, send me a copy of the receipt and I'll mail you some super rad Shred Girls stickers (that can go anywhere, including on your bike frame!)... And pre-order for Kindle and for a hardcover copy is now available in Canada!
If you've done this already, just share this email or the pre-order link with a Shred Girl you know and LMK and I'll hook you up with bonus stickers!
XO,
Molly (and Lindsay, Ali and Jen!)

BIG FEELS
I just helped CX pro Ellen Noble host an awesome training camp in Tucson AZ (the ENCX Quest!) earlier this month, and she reminded me of the BEST rule to live by: Ask yourself, 'Would I say this to my best friend'? whenever you're feeling down on yourself (things like 'I'll never get this bunnyhop, or 'I suck at riding bikes.') If you wouldn't tell your BFF that she sucks at riding bikes, then why are you willing to tell yourself the same thing? We could all use a little more self-love in our lives.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK
"As silly as it might sound, the online community (#bmxgirl) has made a huge difference in my riding. By posting pictures and videos of myself riding I’ve been able to connect with other women all around the world riding BMX, and have even had the chance to ride with a few in real life!" -Leila Raposa on the power of social media for girls in cycling (read her full interview here)

ABOUT SHRED GIRLS: Lindsay's Joyride
An empowering new series from the cyclist who runs Shred-Girls.com is guaranteed to give readers an adrenaline rush--and the confidence girls gain from participating in sports. It's time to ride and save the day!
Lindsay can't wait to spend her summer break reading comics and watching superhero movies--until she finds out she'll be moving in with her weird older cousin Phoebe instead. And Phoebe has big plans for Lindsay: a BMX class at her bike park with cool-girl Jen and perfectionist Ali. Lindsay's summer of learning awesome BMX tricks with new friends and a new bike turns out to be more epic than any comic book--and it's all leading up to a jumping competition. But some of the biker boys don't think girls should be allowed to compete in BMX. Now it's up to Lindsay, Jen, and Ali to win the competition and prove that anyone can be great at BMX.
